One brand, three bottles
Lekkerding is not a single bottle but a series. The maker, Liqueurs & Gifts in Havelte, releases several variants under it. We have three of them on the shelf.
The regular Lekkerding and the Pittig Lekkerding share the same flavour mix: honey, vanilla and orange. The difference is the strength, 14.9 versus 25 per cent. Tof Lekkerding goes in a different direction, with pear and a hint of cinnamon.
On the brand’s website there are also a Stoer Lekkerding of 30 percent and a sparkling wine. We do not stock those. Call 0570 541 278 if you would like to know whether we can order them.

Lekkerding is a brand of Liqueurs & Gifts, a company on the Patrijsweg in Havelte. Under the same name it also sells a perfume.
The basis of the brand is the combination of honey, vanilla and orange. It is in the regular Lekkerding and, turned up stronger, in the Pittig Lekkerding. Tof Lekkerding has its own flavour: pear with a hint of cinnamon.
The maker calls the regular Lekkerding a likorette and the Pittig Lekkerding a liqueur. That difference says something about strength, not about taste.
Liqueur or likorette?
The difference lies in the alcohol percentage. A liqueur has 15 percent or more, a likorette stays below that; otherwise the same rules apply, including a minimum of 100 grams of sugar per litre. That is why you so often see 14.9 percent on the label in this corner of the shelf.

Country of origin: Netherlands. Contents: 70 centilitres per bottle. Alcohol: 14.9 percent for Lekkerding and Tof Lekkerding, 25 percent for Pittig Lekkerding. Type according to the label of the regular bottle: orange liqueur.
