Two partnerships, one shop

’t Bockje is an independent wine & spirits shop and works with two organisations of independent shops. Below you can see what they are, and what they bring to the shelf in Bathmen.

Wine & spirits shop concept

úw topSlijter

úw topSlijter is a partnership of independent wine & spirits shops, founded in 2009, with some 65 shops in the Netherlands. Each shop keeps its own name and adds ‘úw topSlijter’ after it; hence ’t Bockje – úw topSlijter in the Online shop.

It is a formula by wine & spirits retailers for wine & spirits retailers. The affiliated shops are co-owners, and the board has five retailers alongside two representatives of the drinks wholesaler De Monnik Dranken, the majority shareholder. In committees, retailers decide together what is tasted and purchased.

In addition to the regular range, topSlijter has its own line of exclusives: bottles that are only sold in topSlijter shops.

Wine shop concept

Wine club

Wijnkring is a partnership of independent wine and spirits merchants and wine traders, founded in 1982 and with more than a hundred shops in the Netherlands. According to Wijnkring itself, the oldest wine shop concept in the country.

The wines come from Verbunt Verlinden, a wine importer from Tilburg with roots in 1844. Behind them stand wine houses such as Salentein, Graham’s, Bollinger, Ramón Bilbao, Farina, Laurent Miquel, Kendall-Jackson and Yalumba.

Of the big houses, a whole range often stands on the shelf, from the everyday bottle to the top cuvée.

    Dutch whisky from Nistelrode, named after the water source in the hamlet of Bus. This edition is only for sale at topSlijter shops, and when it's gone, it's gone.
