Two sizes of the same wheat beer glass
A weizen glass is tall and slim, and widens towards the top. That upper, rounded part is there for the head of foam: wheat beer foams firmly, and that head has to go somewhere.
We stock two sizes. The 50 centilitre is the classic size that holds a whole bottle of Weissbier. The 30 centilitre is for those who want to pour smaller servings, or who prefer not to work with half litres at the table. Both can be ordered individually.

Benediktiner Weissbier comes from the Klosterbrauerei Ettal, the brewery of the Benedictine monastery in Ettal in Bavaria.
The wheat beer glass has a clear job. It is tall and slim, with a bulging top. That bulging part holds the white head of foam, and that head belongs with a wheat beer: it keeps the beer beneath it and releases the aroma slowly.
That is why you pour Weissbier calmly and with the glass tilted. If you go too fast, the whole bottle comes over the rim as foam.

What size do I need?
A bottle of Weissbier is usually half a litre; it goes entirely into the 50 centilitre glass. If you want to pour less, the 30 centilitre glass is handier.
Why is a wheat beer glass so tall?
For the foam head. Wheat beer foams heavily, and the rounded upper part of the glass holds on to that white head.
Which beer is this glass meant for?
