LeFort comes from the Omer Vander Ghinste brewery in Bellegem near Kortrijk, a family brewery that started in 1892 and was called Bockor from 1976 to 2014. The beer appeared in 2013 as a tribute to Malterie et Brasserie Le Fort, an older brewery the family inherited in 1911; a few years later a Tripel LeFort was added.
For the glass, that story is beside the point. What counts is that this is the goblet that goes with the beer, with a volume of 25 centilitres, and that you can order it here per piece.
