Measuring line at 33, but it holds more
This is the most confusing number on the whole page, so let's get it out of the way: the goblet has a measuring line at 33 centilitres, but according to the description the total capacity is almost 50 centilitres. So you pour up to the line and leave room for foam.
It is a coarse, heavy glass: a sturdy thick foot and a large, full bowl. Not the finest glassware, but the kind that lasts a long time.
We have four on the shelf. You order by the bottle; no case, no minimum purchase.

Brouwerij St.Bernardus is in Watou
- The brewery in brief
- WatouThe village in West Flanders.
- TrappistenwegThe address of the brewery.
- 33 clThe measure line on this goblet.
- Almost 50 clWhere the glass runs up to.
Brouwerij St.Bernardus is on the Trappistenweg in Watou, West Flanders. That is all you need to know about this glass: what you are buying here is the goblet with the brand on it, not the beer.
The shape is typical of Belgian abbey beers: a chalice on a short, thick stem, with enough room above the measuring line for a firm head of foam.
What goes with this goblet?
For beer that you pour up to a line and want to keep a head on. Pour up to 33 centilitres and you keep almost a third of the glass for the head.
