Anyone looking for a Texels glass is usually looking for something specific: the glass that goes with Skuumkoppe, a replacement for one that broke, or a bottle with its matching glass as a gift.
We have three of them. The stemmed glass of 30 centilitres is the brewery’s own glass. In addition there are two glasses with the name Skuumkoppe on them: one of 30 and one of 50 centilitres. The only difference between those two is the size.
De Texelse Bierbrouwerij is in Oudeschild on Texel and was founded in 1994. Skuumkoppe, the house's best-known beer, is a 6 percent dunkelweizen.

The Texelse Bierbrouwerij has been in Oudeschild on Texel since 1994. Skuumkoppe is the house’s best-known beer: a dunkelweizen of 6 percent.
A glass is no detail. The shape determines how much foam remains, how quickly the carbonation escapes and how much aroma reaches your nose. That is why breweries release their own glass, matched to their beer.
For a gift, the combination of a bottle with the matching glass almost always works. And if one breaks in the washing-up, ordering a single glass is enough.
Which model suits you?
Do you drink Skuumkoppe? Then the Skuumkoppe glass is the obvious choice. Choose 30 centilitres for a small bottle, or 50 centilitres if you pour more generously.
If you want a glass for the brand itself. Then the 30 centilitre footed glass is the general choice: it carries no beer name, but the brand.

What is the difference between the stemmed glass and the Skuumkoppe glass?
On the Skuumkoppe glass is the name of that beer, on the footed glass is the Texels brand. The Skuumkoppe glass comes in two sizes, 30 and 50 centilitres; the footed glass only in 30 centilitres.
How many centilitres is a Texels glass?
That depends on the model. The footed glass and the small Skuumkoppe glass are 30 centilitres, the large Skuumkoppe glass is 50 centilitres.
Can I order a single glass or do I have to buy a set?
You can order one. We sell all three glasses individually, so you can replace exactly what is broken.
