For when you only need a splash
A recipe calls for two tablespoons of rum. You have no rum at home. And you don’t really feel like buying a seventy-centilitre bottle for those two tablespoons that then sits in the cupboard for a year.
That is what the Flacons de Cuisine are for. A 10 cl bottle with a measuring scale on the side, so you can simply read off how much you pour in. On the flacon, 1 cl is one tablespoon.

The Flacons de Cuisine are made for use in the kitchen. The label continues onto the side of the bottle, so you can line them up like books on a shelf and see at a glance what is inside.
There is a graduation on the bottle. Handy when a recipe counts in tablespoons and you are looking at centilitres: 1 cl equals one tablespoon.
Functional, then, but also quite nice to look at in the kitchen.
For a small splash you do not need to buy a large bottle.
What this small bottle goes with
Brown rum in the kitchen turns up in cakes, in bavarois, with dried fruit, in a sabayon and in the classic rum sauce. Also when flambéing bananas or pineapple.
We also carry the Flacons de Cuisine in other varieties. Ask in the shop or check the online shop to see what is available at the moment.

Frequently asked questions about Cuisine
What is a Cuisine kitchen bottle?
A 10 cl bottle from the Flacons de Cuisine series, intended for use in the kitchen when a recipe calls for a splash of spirit.
Which rum is in it?
Brown rum from Barbados, 38 percent.
How much is a centilitre?
The bottle has a measuring scale. One centilitre corresponds to one tablespoon.
Why shouldn’t I buy a regular bottle?
That is of course also possible. But if you only need a few tablespoons, a 10 cl bottle is more practical than a 70 cl bottle.
Does the alcohol evaporate during cooking?
Partly, depending on how long and how hot you cook. Do not assume that nothing is left.
Can I pick this little bottle up in Bathmen?
Yes. You can always order online or collect at Brink 2, or simply walk in.
