Why here

Two distinct styles in one white bottle

Veritas brings together two very different rums: one from the traditional Coffey column still at Foursquare in Barbados, and one from the double retort pot still at Hampden in Jamaica.

Foursquare stands for balance and precision, Hampden for heavy, ester-rich pot still rum. Without added sugar and without filtration this delivers a white aromatic palette that you would not usually expect from white rum.

About the blend

Column and pot still side by side

  • The two components
  • FoursquareBarbados, traditional Coffey column.
  • HampdenJamaica, double retort pot still.
  • No sugarNothing added.
  • UnfilteredNo filtration.

White rum is often made to stand out as little as possible: filtered until a neutral base remains. Veritas does the opposite and leaves in everything that is there.

That makes it a very different player in a cocktail. Where an ordinary white rum disappears behind lime and sugar, this one stays clearly present. That is what the blend is made for.

More about the first of the two houses can be found on our Foursquare page.

No added sugar and no filtration, but an explosively aromatic palette.

Practical

What this bottle goes with

Daiquiri, ti’ punch, and any cocktail in which the rum must not disappear. Also good to taste neat if you want to know what pot still does to white rum.

Interesting to set next to a regular white rum and taste the difference.

Call 0570 541 278 or drop in at Brink 2 in Bathmen if you would like to talk it over.
