Why you will find Excalibur here
’t Bockje is a family business on the Brink in Bathmen with more than 3,986 different whiskies in stock. That is not a selection of the best-known names, but the whole field: from the big distilleries to single casks, independent bottlers and brands of which only one or two bottles are around.
We currently have one bottle of Excalibur on the shelf. We deliberately keep brands like this. In most shops they are the first to disappear from the range, and that is often where the most interesting finds are.
Would you like to know whether this bottle suits your taste? Call 0570 541 278 or email info@bockje.nl. You will not get a menu of options, but someone who knows the shelf.

What is written here about Excalibur comes from the label and from our own stock data: country, type, volume and price. What we do not know for certain, we do not write down. For small brands and individual bottlings there is by no means always an accurate story to be found, and an invented date helps no one.
Whisky from Scotland has to mature there for at least three years in an oak cask before it may call itself Scotch. That is the lower limit; many bottles have been in there years longer.
In the online shop this whisky is listed under the flavour profile Full & Rich. That is our own classification, meant as a direction and not as a tasting note.
Would you rather stand there with the bottle in your hand? Come by. We do not pour, but we will honestly tell you what we think of it and what it resembles that you may already know.
What is a blend?
A blend is a mixture of malt whisky and grain whisky. By far most of the whisky drunk worldwide is a blend. The share of malt and the age of the casks used determine how much character is in the bottle; between the cheapest and the most expensive blends lies a world of difference.
