’t Bockje is a family business on the Brink in Bathmen with more than 3,986 different whiskies in stock. That is not a selection of the best-known names, but the whole field: from the big distilleries to single casks, independent bottlers and brands of which only one or two bottles are around.
There is currently one bottle of Secret Islay on the shelf. We deliberately keep brands like this. They are the first to disappear from the range at most shops, and that is often where the most interesting discoveries are.

What is written here about Secret Islay comes from the label and from our own stock data: country, type, volume and price. What we are not sure about, we do not write. For small brands and single bottlings it is often hard to find a story that holds up, and an invented year helps nobody.
Whisky from Scotland has to mature there for at least three years in an oak cask before it may call itself Scotch. That is the lower limit; many bottles have been in there years longer.
