Twelve bottles from one French brand
Vodka is almost always made from grain or potato. Cîroc is not. The base is French wine, pressed from grapes, and that difference is there from the first step.
We have twelve of them: the vodka without additions in 70 centilitres and in a three-litre bottle, and ten bottles in which fruit is worked in, from Apple and Mango to Limonata and Summer Watermelon. If you are not sure which one you need, just give us a call. That is what we are here for.
Cîroc without additions
The same 40 percent vodka, in two sizes.
Four plates in the column, the fifth in copper
- The brand in four facts
- GrapesMauzac Blanc from Gaillac and Ugni Blanc, the cognac grape.
- Five timesFour distillations in column stills, the fifth in a copper pot still.
- Maison VillevertThe house in the Cognac region where Cîroc is distilled.
- 2003The year Cîroc appeared in the United States.
Cîroc does not start in a grain silo but in a vineyard. Two grape varieties are used: Mauzac Blanc from Gaillac in southwest France, and Ugni Blanc, the same grape that forms the basis for cognac. These grapes first go through fermentation as wine; only then does the still come into play.
It is distilled five times. Four rounds take place in column stills, the fifth in a copper pot still, the type of still you normally encounter with cognac and whisky and not with vodka. Distilling takes place at Maison Villevert in the Cognac region.
The brand was conceived by the French distiller Jean-Sébastien Robicquet and appeared in 2003 in the United States. Cîroc is a Diageo brand.
No grain, no potato: Cîroc begins as French wine.
Why two kinds of stills?
A column still distils continuously, a copper pot still works in batches. Cîroc uses both: four runs in the column and then one more in copper, the still that is the most ordinary thing in the world in the cognac region where the house is based.
Ten bottles with fruit
The same grape base, each time with a different fruit added. Nine at 37.5 percent, one at 30.
Ciroc Strawberry Limonade
With strawberry and lemonade. 70 centilitres, 30 percent: the lightest of the range.

Where do you begin?
If you want to know what that grape story comes down to, start with the plain Cîroc of 70 centilitres. That is the bottle at 40 percent, with no fruit added.
If you are looking for one for a long drink or a cocktail, choose by fruit. Limonata and Summer Citrus are in the citrus corner; Mango, Peach, Pineapple and Coconut in the tropical one; Red Berry and Strawberry Limonade with the red fruit. Apple and Summer Watermelon stand apart from these.
The three-litre bottle is for those who want to put one on the table. We currently have one of those.
