Ten flavours besides the regular bottle
Most shops carry the regular bottle of Puschkin and two or three flavours. We have ten, from blackberry and blueberry to mint, nut nougat and salted caramel, plus the regular vodka in both 70 centilitres and one litre.
Mind the difference: only the bottle simply called Puschkin Vodka is vodka, at 37.5 percent. The flavoured bottles are vodka-based liqueurs and range between 15 and just over 17 percent. Not sure which one you are looking for? Give us a call. That is what we are here for.

A Russian-sounding name on a German bottle
- The brand in brief
- GermanyPuschkin is a German brand, not a Russian one.
- 1990Berentzen takes over the brand from König & Schlichte.
- HaselünneThe town in Lower Saxony where Berentzen is based.
- 37,5%The strength of the regular Puschkin Vodka.
The name sounds Russian, but Puschkin comes from Germany. The brand is owned by the Berentzen-Gruppe, a drinks company from Haselünne in Lower Saxony that traces its history back to a distillery recorded there in the eighteenth century. Berentzen took over Puschkin in 1990 from König & Schlichte and then expanded it into a range with many flavours.
The brand consists of two kinds of bottles. The regular Puschkin Vodka is a vodka of 37.5 percent. Alongside it stands a long row of flavoured bottles that Berentzen itself calls liqueurs on a vodka base; these are sweeter and lower in alcohol, between roughly 15 and just over 17 percent. You do not see that difference on the bottle right away, but it is on every label.
Vodka or liqueur?
A bottle may only be called vodka if nothing sweetening has been added and the strength is high enough. With the flavoured variants of Puschkin that does happen, so they are formally a vodka-based liqueur. It is listed per bottle under the label information in our online shop.

If you are looking for something sweet and lower in alcohol, you will end up with the flavoured bottles. They are not vodka but vodka-based liqueur; do check the label.
