Gin from the local province
Kalkwijck distils in Overijssel, which makes Whisper Man’s one of the few bottles on our shelf whose distillery is in the same province as the shop. A nice bottle to take along as a gift for someone from outside the region.
Besides the clear version there is one that has rested on oak. Anyone who wants to know what wood does to gin can put the two side by side. Not sure which one you need? Give us a call. That is what we are here for.

Kalkwijck distillery in Overijssel makes the gin called Whisper Man’s. It is a small distillery, and you can tell from the range: not ten variants, but one good gin and, alongside it, an aged version.
That aged bottle is the most interesting one. Gin almost always goes into the bottle clear; here it has first rested on oak. That makes it golden, rounder and woody-spiced, and nudges it a bit towards whisky. Drink it neat or in a Negroni; with tonic the wood is pushed away.

Yes. Among others Battumse Gin from Bathmen itself, Wagging Finger from Deventer, De Bronckhorst from the Achterhoek and Vossenberg.
