Why a Bolleke is called a Bolleke
De Koninck has been brewing in Antwerp since 1833. The brewery's best-known beer has long been called Bolleke, and that name comes not from the beer but from the glass: a round goblet. According to VRT NWS, that nickname also became the beer's official name in 2019.
We have three De Koninck glasses in stock: the standard beer goblet, the 25 centilitre Bolleke goblet with the lettering engraved on it, and the 33 centilitre goblet that goes with Tripel d’Anvers.
All three can be ordered individually. Call 0570 541 278 if you want to know whether more from the range is coming in.
