About this bottle
De Koninck Bolleke Bokaal is het eigen glas van De Koninck, de brouwerij uit Antwerpen, met een inhoud van 25 cl. Het glas hoort bij de pale ale van de brouwerij, die in Antwerpen al decennia kortweg als 'bolleke' wordt besteld.

Die naam komt van de ronde, bolle vorm van het glas, dat in 1952 werd ontworpen door Modeste Van den Bogaert. Daarvoor werd het bier in gewone glazen geschonken. Wordt het bier in twee keer ingeschonken, dan vormt zich een ronde schuimkraag.
De brouwerij werd in 1833 opgericht door Johannes Vervliet in een voormalige herberg aan de weg naar Mechelen. Sinds 2010 hoort De Koninck bij Duvel Moortgat, als zelfstandig merk.
