Warsteiner comes from Warstein, in the Arnsberger Wald nature park in North Rhine-Westphalia. The brewery was founded in 1753 and is still a family business of the Cramer family. The flagship beer, Premium Verum, is a pilsner of 4.8 percent.
Thanks to the foot and the stem, the hand stays off the bowl. That way the beer stays at temperature longer.
