Rum glassware, and few are in stock
The Signature glasses from Havana Club are not glasses you put in the cupboard by the dozens. They are brand editions that came with a bottle or a promotion, and in our online shop they are listed under collectibles.
There is currently one of the black glass; of the golden one a handful. They can be ordered individually. If you are looking for more than we have in stock, give us a call and we will see what can still be had.
Mind what you are looking for: this is rum glassware. A glass for rum has a different purpose than a beer glass, and below you will find what that difference means in practice.
The two Signature glasses

What we do not say about this
For these two glasses the online shop gives no volume, no height and no material. We would rather not write that down than state a number that is not correct. If you want to know before you order, call 0570 541 278 or email info@bockje.nl; we will take the glass off the shelf and measure it.
What do you drink rum from?
- The parts of a drinking glass
- BowlThe part that holds the drink and that you drink from.
- SteelWhere you hold the glass without warming the drink.
- FootWhat the glass stands on at the table.
- Without stemWith whisky and shot glasses, the base and the bowl are directly joined.
Rum is drunk in two ways, and the two call for a different glass. Neat or with an ice cube, it usually goes in a low, heavy glass without a stem, the model also used for whisky, where base and bowl are joined directly and there is no stem in between. You hold such a glass with your whole hand.
In a cocktail it is the other way round. A cocktail glass is a drinking glass with a stem and a wide, pointed bowl, with a foot wide enough to give balance. That stem is there for a reason: it lets you hold the glass without your body temperature affecting the drink. The same glass is also called a martini glass, because that cocktail traditionally goes in it.
The two Havana Club Signature glasses are in our online shop with the cocktail glasses. Exactly which of the two shapes they have is not documented in any source; we would rather add that after checking it in the shop.
Havana Club in brief
Havana Club is a rum from Cuba, produced in Santa Cruz del Norte and, since 2007, also in San José. The company was founded in 1878 by José Arechabala and has been owned by the Cuban state since the Cuban revolution; worldwide distribution has run through Pernod Ricard since 1993.

Black or gold?
The difference between the two is the finish. According to the description, the black glass is black on the outside and gold on the inside; the gold one is the gold version of the same Signature glass.
Looking for two identical ones? Then keep an eye on the stock: there is currently one of the black glass. Would you like more? Just give us a call and we will see what else can be ordered.

Frequently asked questions about Havana Club glasses
How many Havana Club glasses does ’t Bockje have in stock?
Two models, both available immediately and both orderable individually: the Signature Black Glass and the Signature Gold Glass. Of the black glass there is currently one in stock.
What is the difference between the black and the golden Signature glass?
The version. According to the description in the online shop, the Black Glass is black on the outside and gold on the inside; the Gold Glass is the gold variant of the same glass. Both are listed as collectors’ items.
How much does a Havana Club Signature glass hold?
That is not on the product pages, so we do not say it here. Call 0570 541 278 or email info@bockje.nl, and we will measure the glass in the shop for you.
Is this a beer glass or a rum glass?
A rum glass. Havana Club is rum from Cuba, and these two glasses are listed in our online shop under cocktail glasses, not beer glasses.
What is the difference between a cocktail glass and a stemless glass?
A cocktail glass has a stem and a wide, pointed bowl on a foot that is wide enough for balance. That stem lets you hold the glass without affecting the drink with your body temperature. With a low glass without a stem, such as a whisky glass, the foot and bowl are joined directly and you grip the glass with your whole hand.
Can I order a single glass?
Yes. We sell glasses individually; you don't need to buy a set to replace one.
Are these glasses dishwasher-safe?
That is not stated on the product pages of these glasses, so we will not claim it here. Give us a call and we will check the packaging in the shop.
Does ’t Bockje also ship glasses abroad?
Yes. We ship to around forty countries. Email info@bockje.nl if you would like to know whether your country is included; glassware is packed separately.
