Why here

Two models, not two sizes of the same glass

At La Trappe we have two different glasses, which is not the same as two sizes of the same model. One is called a goblet, the other a Trappist stemmed glass. The latter stands on a stem and holds up to 30 centilitres according to the label information.

The article name of the goblet says 25 centiliters. No content is filled in under the label information of that article, so we cannot say more about it than that.

Which model you need depends on what is already in your cabinet. Call 0570 541 278 if you would like to discuss it.

About the glass

What these glasses go with

  • The glass in brief
  • Stemmed glassThe one model, on a stem.
  • GobletThe other model.
  • 30 clThe contents of the footed glass.
  • Berkel-EnschotWhere the beer is brewed.

La Trappe is Dutch Trappist beer, brewed by brewery De Koningshoeven at the Abbey of Our Lady of Koningshoeven in Berkel-Enschot near Tilburg. The name comes from the French monastery La Trappe, the cradle of the Trappist order.

For the glasses that story is secondary. What matters is that we have two models in stock, both available separately, so you can order one extra instead of a whole set.

The product information we receive from the supplier says nothing about height, weight, material or dishwasher safety. We would rather leave that off the page than guess. Call us if you want to know exactly, and we will take a glass from the shelf.

Which model

Goblet or stemmed glass?

The difference lies in the shape, not just the size. The stemmed glass stands on a stem; the goblet does not. They are therefore not interchangeable: check which model you already have in your cupboard.

Frequently asked questions about the La Trappe glasses

Which La Trappe glasses does ’t Bockje have?

Two: the Trappist footed glass of 30 centilitres and the goblet.

How many centilitres does it hold?

For the footed glass, the label information gives 30 centilitres. For the goblet, 25 centilitres appears in the product name, but the volume is not filled in in the label information.

What is the difference between the goblet and the stemmed glass?

The shape. The footed glass stands on a stem, the goblet does not. So they are not interchangeable.

Who brews La Trappe?

Brouwerij De Koningshoeven at the abbey of Onze Lieve Vrouw van Koningshoeven in Berkel-Enschot, near Tilburg.

Can I order a single glass?

Yes. The price in the online shop applies per piece and you decide how many go in the basket. A single glass is possible too.

Can the glass go in the dishwasher?

We are not sure. The supplier says nothing about it for this glass, and we would rather say nothing than something we cannot check.

Can I collect the glass in Bathmen?

Yes. You can always order online or collect at Brink 2, or simply walk in.
