Why here

A glass shape with a purpose

Lindemans calls the shape of its glasses sensorik. The brewery itself writes that the bowl is designed for the complex, fruity and floral-sour notes of beers such as its kriek and gueuze. So it is a shape with a reason, not just a brand name on glass.

We have two models in stock: the fruit beer glass and the tumbler without a stem. The brewery describes that tumbler as the all-round glass that fits in any kitchen, for the fruit beers but just as well for a cocktail or an alcohol-free mocktail.

Both can be ordered separately. Call 0570 541 278 if you need several, and we will see what we have in stock.

About the glass

Sensory science: why shape matters

  • The glass in brief
  • SensorikThe name Lindemans gives to the glass shape.
  • 25 clThe size of the fruit beer glass.
  • Without stemThe hallmark of the tumbler.
  • 1822The year the Lindemans family began.

Lindemans brews lambic in Vlezenbeek near Brussels and, by its own account, is the largest independent family-owned lambic brewery in Belgium. The family came to the farm brewery in 1822.

More interesting for a glass is what the brewery says about the shape. It calls its glasses sensorik and writes that the bowl is precisely matched to the complex, fruity and floral-sour notes of beers such as Kriek and geuze. The glass is therefore built to bring that aroma to the surface.

The tumbler is the model without a stem. Lindemans describes it as the all-round glass that is good for anything: fruit beer, but also a cocktail or an alcohol-free mocktail.

The product information we receive from the supplier says nothing about height, weight, material or dishwasher safety. We would rather leave that off the page than guess. Call us if you want to know exactly, and we will take a glass from the shelf.

Which model

What is stated with the products

Fruit beer glass: the item name says 25 centilitres, but the capacity is not filled in on the label information. Sensorik tumbler: a glass without a stem, also without a stated capacity.

If you want to be certain of the size, call 0570 541 278 and we will check it for you, or drop in at the Brink 2 in Bathmen.

Frequently asked questions about the Lindemans glasses

Which Lindemans glasses does ’t Bockje have?

Two: the fruit beer glass and the Sensorik tumbler without a foot.

What does sensorik mean?

That is what Lindemans calls the shape of its glasses. The brewery writes that the chalice is tailored to the complex, fruity and floral-sour notes of beers such as Kriek and geuze.

How many centilitres does it hold?

The product name of the fruit beer glass says 25 centilitres. In the label information no volume is filled in for either glass, so we leave it at that. Call us if you want to be sure.

Does the tumbler have a foot?

No, that is exactly the point: it is a glass without a stem. Lindemans describes it as the all-round glass that works for everything.

Where is Lindemans brewed?

In Vlezenbeek near Brussels. By its own account it is the largest independent family-owned lambic brewery in Belgium; the family ended up there in 1822.

Can I order a single glass?

Yes. The price in the online shop applies per piece and you decide how many go in the basket. A single glass is possible too.

Can the glass go in the dishwasher?

We are not sure. The supplier says nothing about it for this glass, and we would rather say nothing than something we cannot check.

Can I collect the glasses in Bathmen?

Yes. You can always order online or collect at Brink 2, or simply walk in.
