Brouwerij Maenhout is a Belgian microbrewery in Oostnieuwkerke, in the province of West Flanders. Otherwise you hardly need to know anything about this glass: it is about the glass here, not the brewery.
A footed glass does two things. The stem keeps your hand off the bowl, so the beer warms up more slowly. And the bowl itself is wider than a straight glass, which gives the aroma room before it reaches your nose. For beer that you drink in half an hour rather than in five minutes, that is the difference.
Grease is the enemy of foam
Rinse a beer glass with hot water free of detergent residue, and don't dry it with a towel washed with fabric softener. Grease residue makes the head collapse within a minute. That is the most common reason beer foams differently at home than in the pub.
What to know before you order
The glass is sold individually. So you do not have to buy a set; a single glass is fine too. If you need many for a party, give us a call and we will see what is in the warehouse.
The contents are 33 centilitres. We do not stock other sizes of Maenhout.

Yes. The glass is sold per piece, so you order exactly the number you need. Even if that is just one.
Can the glass go in the dishwasher?
We have no statement from the manufacturer on that, so we do not promise it. Give us a call and we will check what is on the box. In any case, rinse beer glasses afterwards without detergent residue: grease breaks down the head.
What is this glass intended for?
For the beer of the Maenhout brewery. A stemmed glass generally works well for Belgian beers that you drink at a leisurely pace, because your hand does not rest against the bowl.
