Two Indies in one bottle
The name Two Indies refers to the West and East Indies. The bottle contains rum from Jamaica, Barbados and Guyana, blended with traditional Indian rum. That is a combination you rarely come across.
Amrut is known in the Netherlands mainly for its whisky; the same house in Bangalore also makes this rum. We carry the whisky too, on the Amrut whisky page.

Amrut was the first Indian distillery to bring single malt whisky to Europe and thereby changed how Indian spirits were viewed. The house is based in Bangalore.
India has its own rum tradition, older than most people think; molasses rum is made there on a large scale. This bottle sets it alongside rum from Jamaica, Barbados and Guyana.
In the Indian climate ageing is fast, faster even than in the Caribbean. That is one of the reasons Amrut still gets a lot of flavour into the bottle with relatively young whisky and rum.
The West and East Indies, together in one bottle.
What this bottle goes with
A blend like this is widely usable: to drink neat, but also fine in a cocktail where the rum should remain recognisable.
If you already know this house's whisky, this is a nice sidestep. It is on the Amrut whisky page.
