Two casks from The Rum Collection
Kintra is a Dutch bottler that buys casks and releases them under its own label. The rum range is called The Rum Collection; we have two bottles of it.
The Enmore from 1990 is the most interesting: it comes from the wooden column still at Demerara Distillers in Guyana, the same still from which El Dorado also sources its Enmore bottlings. Twenty-seven years in the cask is exceptionally long for rum.

An independent bottler does not buy a brand but a cask. That means every bottle is a one-off: what is in it depends on that one cask, and when it is gone, it does not come back.
The Enmore name refers to the wooden Coffey column from 1880 that was moved from the closed Enmore plantation to Demerara Distillers. Rum from that still is recognisable and sought after by collectors.
The thirteen-year-old Panama bottling is the more approachable of the two.
Twenty-seven years in cask is exceptionally long for rum.
Where best to start
The thirteen-year-old Panama is the logical starting point: a calm, matured style.
The Enmore is the collector's bottle. If you do not yet know the Guyanese wooden stills, first have a look at El Dorado.
