Johnnie Walker 12 Years Old Black Label alongside Montecristo No. 3
A smoky blend alongside a classic Cuban corona. Two medium-strength ones that do not get in each other's way.

From the shelf
The bottle
Johnnie Walker Black Label is a Scotch blended whisky, twelve years old, at 40 percent ABV. The colour is dark golden brown, the aroma smoky; on the palate vanilla, fruit and smoke, with a long smoky finish and a hint of citrus.
The combination
Why this works together
The No. 3 is a corona of 142 mm: the size in which Cuban tobacco turns out most balanced, not too narrow and not too wide. Montecristo gives cocoa with light pepper. A blend is by definition a middle way, and that does not call for a cigar at an extreme; the smoke in the whisky and the cocoa in the tobacco run level here.
Beside the glass
The cigar
We do not sell cigars; we supply the whisky. These cigars go well alongside this bottle.

- Montecristo No. 3 Cuban corona of 142 mm, cocoa and light pepper, on a par in weight with a blend of 40 percent alcohol by volume.
- H. Upmann Coronas Junior Petit corona of 110 mm, shorter and drier, for a short moment.
- Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 Robusto of 127 mm, earthy and slightly heavier, if the smoke is allowed to take centre stage.
- Macanudo Café Hyde Park Dominican robusto under a Connecticut wrapper: wood and cream, without sharpness.
In the glass
