Heavy Islay smoke at an honest price
Ileach is one of the few ways to taste heavily peated Islay malt without paying for a well-known name on the label. At fifty-eight percent the cask strength is no lightweight.
In addition, we have a single cask with a tempranillo finish. If you are not sure which one to pick, give us a call. That is what we are here for.

Ileach appeared in 1997, released by Highlands & Islands Whisky Company of Glasgow. The name is Gaelic and means something like a person from Islay.
There is no distillery on the label. That is a deliberate choice: the supplier does not want its name associated with it. There is a lot of speculation in the whisky world about which distillery it is, but it has never been confirmed. We do not take part in that; what is written is written.
The range consists of a regular bottling at forty percent and, since 2000, a cask strength at fifty-eight percent. Ileach has become especially popular in Scandinavia.
