Islay smoke without the price of a big name
Islay Storm is one of the most affordable ways to bring peated Islay malt home. That is possible precisely because the distillery is not named on the label.
Not sure whether this is the bottle for you? Give us a call. That is what we are here for.
The bottle
The Islay Storm at 40 percent.
Why there is no name on it
- Islay Storm in vier feiten
- 2005the brand appears.
- Not statedde distilleerderij wordt bewust niet genoemd.
- 2017the label gets a new design.
- 40%the bottling strength, without an age statement.
Islay Storm appeared in 2005 and is bottled for The Highlands & Islands Scotch Whisky Company. The label names no distillery; the source is deliberately left unnamed.
That happens more often. Distilleries sell casks to third parties, but do not want their name on a cheaper bottle. Who the supplier is is not made public, and we do not guess at it.
The name refers to the robust, smoky character. In 2017 the bottle got a new design. There is no age on it; the bottling strength is forty percent.
No name, no age, but clearly Islay.
