Three Classic of Islay side by side
Classic of Islay is the best-known series of this German house: peated Islay whisky whose distillery is not named on the label. Several editions appear each year and they sell out quickly.
We have three, plus a Benrinnes from the Auld Distillers Collection and a Croftengea from the Old Passenger Ships series. If you are not sure which one you need, give us a call. That is what we are here for.

Own series instead of the same bottles
- Jack Wiebers in four facts
- 1996Lars-Goran Wiebers, nicknamed Jack, starts a wholesale business.
- 1999the first whisky ranges of its own appear.
- Germanythe house is based in Berlin and the surrounding area.
- SeriesClassic of Islay, Auld Distillers Collection, Old Passenger Ships and more.
Jack Wiebers Whisky World was founded in 1996 by Lars-Goran Wiebers, who goes by Jack. He started as a wholesaler and saw that many importers offered exactly the same bottles. From 1999 he therefore bought his own casks and released them under his own ranges.
Those series can be recognised by their label: Classic of Islay for peated whisky from the island, Auld Distillers Collection for older single casks, Old Passenger Ships and Great Ocean Liners with ships on the label, and Scottish Castles with castles.
With Classic of Islay, the distillery is not named on the label. That is an agreement with the supplier and happens more often. We therefore do not give a name; what it says is what it says.
Own series, own labels, and no distillery name on Classic of Islay.
