Why here

A French vodka with a Russian-sounding name

Poliakov sounds Russian, but the brand is French. It belongs to La Martiniquaise, the second-largest drinks group in France, and in its home country it is, according to that company, the best-selling vodka.

We have two bottles of it: seventy centilitres and one litre. The same vodka, the same strength, just a different size. If you are not sure which you need, give us a call. That is what we are here for.

The two bottles we have in stock

The same vodka at 37.5 percent, in two sizes.

France or Poland?

Poliakov is a French brand. Yet the label of our seventy-centilitre bottle gives Poland as the country of origin, and the one-litre bottle France. We reproduce that difference as it appears on the bottle. If you want to know exactly where your bottle was bottled, call 0570 541 278 and we will check with the importer.

Poliakov is a brand of La Martiniquaise, which English-language Wikipedia describes as the second-largest drinks group in France. The name sounds Eastern European, but the vodka is French.

On how it is made, the house is brief but clear: a selection of soft wheat, one hundred percent grain, triple distilled and then filtered over charcoal to remove the last impurities. The Premium Silver from the same range goes through the still five times; we do not stock that one.

Poliakov belongs to the so-called million-case brands: more than a million nine-litre cases per year go through it. La Martiniquaise itself calls the brand number one in France and one of the five biggest vodka brands in Europe.

Soft wheat, triple distilled, filtered over charcoal: that is how La Martiniquaise describes the bottle itself.

Which bottle will you take?

The difference is the size. The seventy-centilitre bottle is the standard size and fits in any cabinet. The litre bottle is the logical choice if you mix drinks more often or have a larger group.

Otherwise it is the same vodka: 37.5 percent, made from wheat, distilled three times.
