John Jameson, nato nella scozzese Alloa, iniziò nel 1780 in Bow Street a Dublino. La distilleria crebbe fino a diventare una delle più grandi d’Irlanda e intorno al 1880 occupava quasi sei ettari nel centro della città.
Op 5 juni 1970 liep daar de laatste distillatie. Sinds 1975 wordt Jameson gemaakt in Midleton in County Cork, waar ook Redbreast, Powers en de Spot-reeks vandaan komen. Bow Street is nu een bezoekerscentrum.
Jameson wordt drie keer gedistilleerd, wat in Ierland gebruikelijk is en de zachte stijl geeft. Het is een blend van pot still whiskey en graanwhisky. De Single Pot Still in onze reeks is de uitzondering: die bestaat alleen uit pot still whiskey.

Jameson die wordt afgewerkt op vaten waarin eerder bier heeft gelegen: de Stout Edition op stoutvaten, de IPA Edition op IPA-vaten.
Wat is het verschil met Jameson Black Barrel?
Il Black Barrel utilizza una quota maggiore di pot still whiskey e botti bruciate più intensamente. Questo dà più profondità rispetto al normale Original.
Che cos'è il single pot still?
Uno stile irlandese in cui nel pot still entrano sia l’orzo maltato sia quello non maltato. Il nostro Single Pot Still contiene solo questo whiskey, senza whisky di grano.
