About this bottle
Tongerlo is een abdijbier dat genoemd is naar de abdij van Tongerlo, bij Westerlo in de Antwerpse Kempen. De abdij werd rond 1133 gesticht en wordt bewoond door norbertijnen. In 1796 werd ze tijdens de Franse bezetting opgeheven, in 1838 opnieuw in gebruik genomen. De abdij bewaart een zestiende-eeuwse kopie op doek van Leonardo da Vinci's Laatste Avondmaal, op bijna ware grootte.
