Three models from the same brewery
Of many breweries there is one glass on the shelf. Of Wentersch we have three, and those are three different models: a small tasting glass, a wheat beer glass and a footed beer glass.
Wentersch brews in Winterswijk, on the Groenloseweg. For us in Bathmen that is a neighbouring brewery, and you can tell by how often people ask about it. The glasses are ordered individually, so you can also combine them.
The three glasses we stock
Wentersch Proefglas
The smallest glass of the three, 20 centilitres. Meant for tasting rather than pouring a full glass.
€ 2,99
Wentersch Weizenglas
The glass for wheat beer. The label information states 30 centilitres; the product description says 33 centilitres.
€ 2,99
Wentersch bierglas op voet
The stemmed glass, 25 centilitres. Three left; at the moment the scarcest glass of the three.
€ 4,99
Three models, three ways of pouring
- The glasses in brief
- Tasting glass20 centilitres, the small size.
- Weizen glassThe model for wheat beer.
- Stemmed25 centilitres, goblet on a stem.

A tasting glass is small on purpose. If you pour a row of beers one after another, you want a little of each and not three full glasses; 20 centilitres is the right size for that.
A weizen glass is the opposite: tall and slim, with a top that widens again. That shape is there to hold the foam head that goes with wheat beer.
The footed glass is a chalice on a short stem. You hold it by the stem, so that your hand does not warm the beer.
Brouwerij Wentersch is located at Groenloseweg 75 in Winterswijk. The brewery works with water, malt, hops and yeast, and sources its ingredients from the region where possible.
Which glass do you choose?
Going for a tasting? The 20-centilitre tasting glass. Into it you pour a small measure from each beer in a row.
Do you drink wheat beer? The weizen glass. Its tall, narrow shape holds the head.
Would you like an ordinary glass for the table? The footed beer glass of 25 centilitres.
