Lochlea releases its editions according to the four moments of the farming year: Sowing, Harvest, Ploughing and Fallow. We have six of them on the shelf, including two First Crop releases and one Third Crop.

Alongside them, the regular bottlings, two cask strength batches and a single cask from Adelphi. Not sure which one you need? Give us a call. That's what we're here for.

Lochlea stands on a working farm in Ayrshire, in the Lowlands south of Glasgow. Robert Burns lived on this very farm between 1777 and 1784, the years in which he began to write.

The distillery has been distilling since 2018. What sets Lochlea apart is that the barley is grown on its own land, harvested and then malted. From field to bottle, everything stays at the same address.

That farmer’s almanac returns in the series. Sowing stands for sowing, Harvest for the harvest, Ploughing for ploughing and Fallow for lying fallow. Each edition appears in its own vintage, with First Crop, Second Crop and Third Crop as designation for the successive harvests.

From field to bottle on the same farmstead: very few distilleries can say that.

The seasonal editions

Six bottles from the farmers’ almanac.
