Octomore is Bruichladdich's most heavily peated range and has existed since 2008. The name comes from Octomore Farm, a farm a few kilometres south of the distillery. Between 1816 and 1852 it had a distillery of its own, which did not survive.
Het etiket leest als een proefopstelling. Het getal voor de punt is de serie, het getal erachter geeft aan wat er is uitgeprobeerd: .1 staat voor Schotse gerst op Amerikaans eiken, .2 voor Europees eiken en wijnvaten, .3 voor gerst die op Octomore Farm zelf is verbouwd. Elke uitgave is vijf jaar oud.
De turfwaarden lopen ver uiteen. De eerste mouterij leverde tachtig ppm; latere uitgaven kwamen boven de driehonderd uit. In serie 16 zit de 16.1 op 101,4 ppm en de 16.3 op 189,5 ppm. Gebotteld wordt er vlak bij vatsterkte, hier van 57,3 tot ruim 64 procent.
