Tullamore D.E.W. is in almost every wine & spirits shop, but usually only as the standard bottle. What you rarely see complete is the aged range: twelve, thirteen, fourteen and eighteen years, plus the Phoenix. We have all five.
Also the standard bottle in three sizes (35 cl, 70 cl and one litre) and the finish on Caribbean rum casks. Not sure which one you need? Give us a call. That's what we're here for.

De oude distilleerderij van Tullamore, in het Ierse graafschap Offaly, ging in 1829 open. Daniel E. Williams begon er als bedrijfsleider en werd later eigenaar; hij zette zijn initialen op de fles en daarmee was Tullamore D.E.W. geboren.
That distillery closed in 1954. For sixty years no whiskey was distilled in Tullamore, while the brand lived on all the same. In 2010 William Grant & Sons bought it from the C&C Group; four years later there was a distillery in the town again.
That new distillery from 2014 was the first in Ireland in over a hundred years to be built on a greenfield site. It can make all three building blocks of the blend itself: pot still, malt and grain whiskey. For a brand that was dependent on other people's distillate for six decades, that is a step of principle.
For sixty years Tullamore D.E.W. existed, but not a drop was distilled in Tullamore.

What does D.E.W. stand for?
For the initials of Daniel E. Williams. He worked as manager at the distillery in Tullamore, later became the owner and put his initials on the whiskey.
Wordt Tullamore D.E.W. weer in Tullamore gemaakt?
Ja. De oude distilleerderij sloot in 1954; in 2014 kwam er een nieuwe in de stad. Die kan alle drie de bouwstenen van de blend zelf maken: pot still, malt en graanwhiskey.

What is the difference between the regular bottle and the aged bottles?
Bij de gewone fles staat geen leeftijd; die is samengesteld op smaak. Bij de 12, 13, 14 en 18 jaar is de jongste whiskey in de fles minstens zo oud als het getal op het etiket.
