What a bombardino is
Advocaat is an egg liqueur based on brandy: egg yolk, sugar and brandy, worked into a thick yellow drink. European rules require at least 140 grams of quality egg yolk and at least 150 grams of sugar or honey per litre, and at least 14 per cent alcohol by volume. Alongside the thick advocaat you eat with a small spoon, there is a thin version made with the whole egg that can be poured.
Bombardino is the Italian relative. In the Italian Alps it is a hot drink served in mountain huts and on the slopes: warm zabaione with brandy, cream and sometimes coffee. The recipe varies by region. The Italian encyclopaedia places its origin at the Mottolino mountain hut in Livigno in 1972 and explains the name by the wave of warmth that follows drinking it, due to the temperature and strength of the mixture.
This bottle is the ready-made version. According to the producer it is a mix of brandy and advocaat, with 17 per cent alcohol according to the label.

Pircher is a distillery in Lana, in the Italian province of South Tyrol. The house gives 1884 as its founding year and traces its roots to the monastery distillery of the Teutonic Order in Lana; that distillery later passed to the Pircher family.
The company is best known for its fruit distillates. The Williams Christ, distilled from the pear of the same name, is the best-known example. Pircher also makes grappa and liqueurs, including this bombardino.
The drink itself does not come from South Tyrol but from Livigno in the province of Sondrio, where according to the Italian encyclopaedia it originated in 1972 in the Mottolino mountain hut. From there the bombardino spread across the Italian ski areas, Ticino and the French Alps.
