What blanco, reposado and añejo mean
Tequila is distilled from blue agave from defined areas in Mexico. The label tells you how long it has spent on wood: blanco is unaged or rests briefly, reposado spends at least two months and añejo at least a year in oak barrels. The longer on wood, the rounder the taste and the more vanilla and caramel. For each type, you will find the explanation below, along with the bottles in the shop.
