Two brothers, two companies
Until 2013 Douglas Laing and Hunter Laing were one company. Then the brothers Fred and Stewart Laing divided the assets: Fred kept the name Douglas Laing, Stewart started Hunter Laing. The latter then built the Ardnahoe distillery on Islay, of which we also stock bottles.
Under the Hunter Laing name itself we have two: the Islay Journey at thirty euros and a Benrinnes from the Hepburn’s Choice series. If you do not know which one you need, give us a call. That is what we are here for.

Hunter Laing is the company of Stewart Laing and his sons, created when the old family business split in 2013. It bottles whisky from all Scottish regions, in ranges such as Hepburn’s Choice for younger single casks and Old & Rare for the old ones.
The biggest step was Ardnahoe: in 2018 the company opened its own distillery on the northeast coast of Islay, with a view over the Sound of Islay. That took it from bottler to producer, just as Gordon & MacPhail did with Benromach.
