Why here

Twenty-three bottles from a two-year-old bottler

Living Souls has only existed since 2024 and in that time has already put together a range running from Islay to Speyside, plus blends of fifteen and forty years and two old grain whiskies.

We have twenty-three of them, pretty much the whole line. Not sure which one you need? Give us a call. That is what we are here for.

About the bottler

Founded in 2024

  • Living Souls in four facts

  • Batchesthe blends are released in numbered batches.
  • Cask strengthpart of the series goes into the bottle undiluted.
  • Teknonymssome names on the label are not a distillery name.

Living Souls is a young Scottish independent bottler. The house was founded in 2024 by John Torrance, Jamie Williamson and Calum Leslie and buys casks from distilleries all over Scotland.

An independent bottler does not distil. It buys casks, lets them mature further and bottles them under its own name. That produces bottles you cannot get from the distillery itself: single casks, often at cask strength and without colouring.

A few labels carry a name that is not a distillery, such as Williamson and Lagmore. Such names are used when the origin may not appear on the label. We do not guess at that; what it says is what it says.

Two years old as a company, and already a range that runs from Islay to Speyside.

Frequently asked questions about Living Souls

How many Living Souls does ’t Bockje have in stock?

Twenty-three different bottles, from a three-year-old blend to a forty-eight-year-old grain whisky. All twenty-three are available at the moment.

Who is behind Living Souls?

Living Souls was founded in 2024 by John Torrance, Jamie Williamson and Calum Leslie.

What is an independent bottler?

A company that does not distil itself but buys casks from distilleries, lets them mature further and bottles them under its own name. Often it is a handful of casks at full strength.

Which distillery is the Williamson from?

That is not on the label. For names such as Williamson and Lagmore, the origin may not be stated. We say nothing there that we cannot substantiate.

What does batch 2 or batch 3 mean?

Living Souls bottles its blends in numbered batches. Each batch is its own composition; batch 2 and batch 3 of the forty-year-old are therefore not the same whisky.

Can I reserve a bottle and collect it in Bathmen?

That is possible. Order online and choose pickup, or call us on 0570 541 278 and we will set it aside. Pickup at Brink 2 is free.
