Nine single casks from one distillery
The Signature Collection of Dramfool consists of a few casks from Bruichladdich on Islay, in all three flavours: the unpeated Bruichladdich, the peated Port Charlotte and the extremely peated Octomore. On each label is the number of the original release, such as 8.1 or 9.3.
We have nine of them in stock. Anyone who wants to set the three styles of that house side by side, from a single cask and at cask strength too, can do so here in one go. Not sure which one you need? Give us a call. That is what we are here for.

Dramfool is a small Scottish bottler that stands out for its choice: the vast majority of what it releases comes from Bruichladdich on Islay. The label shows the distillery, the cask number and the number of the original release (6.1, 8.2, 9.3), so you know exactly which series the cask comes from.
Alongside that there is the Middle Cut, in which casks from other distilleries appear: Caol Ila, Invergordon, and so on. Everything goes into the bottle at cask strength.
Nine of the twelve bottles come from a single distillery. That is no coincidence but a choice.
What do numbers like 8.1 and 9.3 mean?
That is the numbering that Bruichladdich itself uses for the Octomore and Port Charlotte ranges. The first number is the series, the second indicates the variant: .1 stands for maturation in American oak, .2 for a second cask type and .3 for barley from Octomore Farm on Islay itself. Dramfool puts that number on the label so that you know which original release the cask comes from.
Four times Bruichladdich

Frequently asked questions about Dramfool
How much Dramfool does ’t Bockje have in stock?
Twelve bottlings, all available immediately. The Elderly Elvis from 1998 is temporarily sold out.
Why do so many bottles come from Bruichladdich?
Because Dramfool has specialised in it. The Signature Collection consists of a few casks of Bruichladdich and its peated siblings Port Charlotte and Octomore.
What do numbers like 8.1 or 9.3 mean?
That is Bruichladdich's own numbering. The first number is the series; .1 stands for American oak, .2 for a second cask type and .3 for barley from Octomore Farm on Islay. Dramfool puts that number on the label.
Are these bottles at cask strength?
Yes, all of them. They are between 55 and almost 65 percent, and each bottling comes from a single cask with the cask number on the label.
Which Dramfool should you try first?
If you know Islay and like smoke: a Port Charlotte. If you want the unpeated side instead, a Bruichladdich from the Signature Collection is the logical choice. Both at cask strength, so adding water is fine.
Does ’t Bockje also ship Dramfool abroad?
Yes. We ship to around forty countries. Email info@bockje.nl if you want to know whether your country is included.
