Ingredients
- 1 kilo ham aan het stuk
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 3 tablespoons of wholegrain mustard
- 1 kilo potatoes
- 400 grams green beans
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- Mix the honey with the coarse mustard and brush the ham with it.
- Cook the ham in the oven for about 1 hour to a core temperature of 65 °C, basting it once more halfway through.

- 160 grams aged Gouda
Method
- Take the cheese out of the fridge about an hour before serving; that brings out the flavour best.
- Only cut or break the cheese just before serving.
After the mealBanana pancake with syrup
Ingredients
- 250 grams of flour
- 500 millilitres of milk
- 2 eggs
- 4 bananas
- 30 grams butter
- 4 tablespoons of syrup
Method
- Whisk the flour with a pinch of salt, the eggs and gradually the milk into a smooth batter and leave to rest for 15 minutes.
- Cut the bananas into thin slices.
- Melt a knob of butter in a frying pan and lay slices of banana in it.
- Pour a layer of batter over them and cook over a medium-high heat until the top is dry.
- Turn the pancake and cook the other side for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown.
- Repeat with the rest and serve with syrup.

Dominicaanse robusto van 137 mm met een donkere wikkel: zoet hout en koffie naast het vatwerk van bourbon.
Why this works together
The VSG is a robusto of 137 mm under a dark Ecuadorian wrapper. That wrapper has fermented for longer and therefore gives sweet wood and coffee rather than pepper. Bourbon ages in new oak casks and gets its vanilla and caramel from them. Those two sweet wood notes end up in the same place; the spiciness in the whiskey keeps the whole from becoming too flat.
