Deutz is one of the older champagne houses, founded in 1838 in Aÿ, the village where the best pinot noir of the region also comes from. We have the standard Brut Classic in two sizes, a rosé and the prestige cuvée.
The latter, at two hundred euros, is the most expensive wine we stock. For an anniversary or a special moment, that is the bottle. If you are not sure which one you need, give us a call. That is what we are here for.

Almost every Champagne house has one bottle at the top of its range: the prestige cuvée. It is made only in good years, from the best plots, and lies on the lees for years before it is sold.
That explains the price difference with the regular brut. You pay for scarcity, for selection (only the first pressing, where the juice is purest) and above all for time: all those years the bottle sits in the cellar instead of in the till.
Is it worth it? Not for an ordinary evening. For a twenty-fifth wedding anniversary or a company anniversary, it is exactly what a bottle like this is for.
Aÿ is one of the seventeen villages in Champagne with the highest classification. Deutz has been based there since 1838.
