Why here

About the house

Hacienda Santa Teresa, Aragua

  • The house in brief
  • 1796Het jaartal van de hacienda.
  • AraguaThe state in Venezuela.
  • SoleraDe manier van blenden.
  • 15Year, the oldest rum in the 1796.

The hacienda is located in the state of Aragua, in the north of Venezuela. The company has been making rum there for generations and is one of the best-known names in the country, alongside Diplomático and Pampero.

The solera system comes from the sherry world: rows of casks of increasing age, where you draw from the oldest and top up from the younger. The number 1796 on the bottle is not an age but a year.
