Why here

Forty-four single casks from a bottler with a keen nose

Alistair Walker worked for years at Burn Stewart and BenRiach before he started on his own. You notice it in the cask selection: every cask is a single cask, almost always at full strength, and rarely from a distillery you see everywhere.

We have forty-four in stock, from a nine-year-old Tomintoul to a thirty-seven-year-old Invergordon. Not sure which one you need? Give us a call. That is what we are here for.

Speyside, part one

Sixteen casks from the heart of Scotland.

About the bottler

The name says it all

  • Infrequent Flyers in four facts
  • 2018Alistair Walker goes out on his own.
  • June 2019the first nine bottles appear, aged eleven to twenty-six years.
  • Single caskeach bottle comes from one cask, usually at full strength.
  • BenRiachwhere Walker worked before he started his own business.

Alistair Walker worked at Burn Stewart Distillers and then at BenRiach, at the time when that house belonged to his family. In 2018 he started on his own; the first nine bottles of Infrequent Flyers appeared in June 2019.

The name refers to what the series aims to be: whisky from distilleries that rarely appear on the shelf under their own name. These are often houses that supply almost all their production to blends, such as Glentauchers, Auchroisk, Glenburgie or Mannochmore.

Everything is bottled as a single cask, almost always at full strength and without colouring. Some bottles carry no distillery name but only a region. In that case the origin may not be stated. We do not guess at it.

Distilleries you rarely see, and only one cask each time.

Speyside, part two and the Highlands

Frequently asked questions about Infrequent Flyers

How many Infrequent Flyers does ’t Bockje have in stock?

Forty-four different bottles from well over thirty distilleries. All forty-four are available at the moment.

Who is behind Infrequent Flyers?

Alistair Walker, who previously worked at Burn Stewart Distillers and BenRiach. He started on his own in 2018; the first nine bottles appeared in June 2019.

Where does the name come from?

From the idea behind the series: whisky from distilleries that are rarely bottled under their own name.

Why is there sometimes no distillery on the label?

Because the origin may then not be stated. Those bottles only show the region, for example Islay or Speyside. We say nothing about it that we cannot back up.

Are they all single casks?

Yes. Every bottle comes from a cask, almost always at full strength and without colouring.
