Why here

A gin that comes from a butcher’s shop

The bottle comes with dried and smoked orange, made in their own sausage-making workshop. It is a bottle you would sooner put next to a piece of meat than in a long gin and tonic on a terrace.

Slagerskruiden in een koperen ketel

  • The bottle at a glance
  • RotterdamWhere the butcher’s shop that came up with it is located.
  • SchiedamWhere it is distilled, at Onder de Boompjes.
  • Steak seasoningThe herb blend from our own shop.
  • OrangeDried and smoked, supplied with the bottle.

The dried and smoked orange that comes with the bottle does come from the house’s own sausage workshop. It is meant to go in the glass.

Practical

What this bottle goes with

This is not a neutral gin. The savoury side of the herb blend makes it better suited to a drink with food than to a sweet cocktail.
