Why this works together

Chosen by type (whisky). Whisky goes with dishes that have their own character, with an aged cheese and, after the meal, with something with chocolate, caramel or nuts.

  3. Mix the barbecue sauce with the honey and the crushed garlic.
  4. Boil the corn cobs for 10 minutes in salted water.

After the meal

A cigar with Glen Scotia Online Dunnage Tasting - Casks of Campbeltown

We worked out this cigar pairing for Springbank 10 Years Old, another whisky from Scotland.

Cigars
Our choice

Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill

Cuban size of 130 mm, short and wide, floral and woody alongside a malt with body.

Why this works together

The Wide Churchill is 130 mm long and strikingly broad. That proportion gives a full smoke in a short time, without turning sharp. Romeo y Julieta is floral and woody by nature, not earthy. Next to a Campbeltown malt at 46 percent ABV, that brings the wood from the cask forward instead of drowning it out.

Also good with this whisky

  • Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2Robusto of 127 mm, earthy and somewhat heavier in tone.
  • Vegas Robaina FamososRobusto of 124 mm with more earthiness, for those who want to bring the cigar to the fore.
  • Oliva Serie V Double RobustoNicaraguan robusto with pepper instead of flowers, a clearly different direction.

We do not sell cigars; we supply the whisky.
