- 100 grams of olives
- 1 baguette
- 100 gram noten
- 2 tablespoons of mustard
Method
- Haal de kaas en de worst een half uur van tevoren uit de koelkast.
- Snijd de kaas in plakken of blokjes, de worst in dunne plakjes en het stokbrood in schijven.
- Put everything on a board with the olives, the nuts and a small bowl of mustard.

- 160 grams of matured Gouda
Method
- Take the cheese out of the fridge about an hour before serving; that brings out the flavour best.
- Only cut or break the cheese just before serving.

- Heat the frying oil to 180 °C.
- Fry the bitterballen for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown and piping hot all the way through.

Brouwerij Haacht werd op 14 juni 1898 in Boortmeerbeek opgericht door Eugène De Ro, ingenieur in de gistingsindustrie. Hij begon het bedrijf als melkerij, de Melkerij van Haecht, maar bouwde het al snel om tot brouwerij. In 1902 stapte hij over op lagerbier, en in 1913 hoorde Haacht al bij de grootste brouwerijen van het land. Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog nam schoonzoon Alfred van der Kelen de leiding over. De brouwerij is nog altijd een familiebedrijf en maakt onder meer Tongerlo, Primus en Super 8.
