We keep one of the widest drinks shelves in the Netherlands, in a family business on the Brink in Bathmen. For Belgian gins that means not three or four choices but 12.
Belgium shares the jenever tradition with the Netherlands but handles it differently: hops, beer herbs and fruit turn up regularly. We stock them because they make the shelf noticeably different.

The Flemish jenever tradition is centuries old; many Belgian gin makers come from that background or from liqueur distilling.
Hops are a recurring botanical, which is not strange in a beer country: they give the gin a bitter, spicy and sometimes citrusy note.
You will also find fruit, speculaas spices and local plants. The style varies from classic dry to distinctly aromatic.
