At the table with Paulaner Hefe-Weißbier
Weizen · Germany · 5.5%
Why this works together
Chosen by beer style (weizen), country of origin (Germany) and alcohol percentage (5.5%). That yeasty aroma stands up to smoked and spiced meat; the lively carbonation makes a fatty sausage feel light again.
Serve at 6 to 8 °C.

For 4 people
Main courseBratwurst with sauerkraut

Method
- Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water for 20 minutes until tender.
- Fry the chopped onion in butter, add the sauerkraut, the grated apple and a splash of water and braise everything, covered, for 20 minutes.
- Fry the bratwursts in butter over a medium-high heat for 15 to 20 minutes until browned all over and cooked through.
- Serve the sausage with the sauerkraut, the potatoes and the mustard.
