Main courseEmpanadas with minced meat and cumin
Ingredients
- 400 gram rundergehakt
- 8 slices of puff pastry
- 1 onion
- 2 teaspoons of cumin
- 1 red pepper
- 2 eggs
- 50 gram groene olijven
Method
- Verwarm de oven voor op 200 °C en laat het bladerdeeg ontdooien.
- Sauté the onion in oil, fry the minced meat until crumbly and season it with the cumin, salt and pepper.
- Roer de fijngesneden paprika en de gehakte olijven erdoor, bak 5 minuten mee en laat de vulling afkoelen.
- Kook een ei hard, hak het fijn en meng het door de vulling.
- Spoon the filling onto half of each slice of dough, fold it closed and press the edges down with a fork.
- Brush the empanadas with the beaten second egg and bake them for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.

- Haal de plakken voorzichtig van elkaar en leg ze losjes gevouwen op een plank of bord.
