- 400 grams of cheese in three or four varieties
- 200 grams of dry sausage
- 100 grams of olives
- 1 baguette
- 100 grams of nuts
- 2 tablespoons of mustard
Method
- Take the cheese and sausage out of the fridge half an hour beforehand.
- Cut the cheese into slices or cubes, the sausage into thin slices and the baguette into slices.
- Put everything on a board with the olives, the nuts and a small bowl of mustard.

- 160 grams of matured Gouda
Method
- Take the cheese out of the fridge about an hour before serving; that brings out the flavour best.
- Only cut or break the cheese just before serving.

Method
- Heat the frying oil to 180 °C.
- Fry the bitterballen for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown and piping hot all the way through.

Grimbergen Gift Pack 3 bottles + glass contains three bottles of Belgian abbey beer from the Grimbergen range and the matching glass bearing the phoenix. The phoenix is the brand’s symbol and refers directly to the history of the abbey from which the beer takes its name. The label gives Belgium as the country of origin.

The name comes from the abbey of Grimbergen, just north of Brussels, which Norbert of Xanten founded in 1128 at the request of the Lords of Grimbergen. According to the brand, the fathers began brewing that same year. The abbey was destroyed in 1142, 1566 and 1798 and rebuilt each time. After the rebuilding in 1629, the fathers chose the phoenix as their emblem, with the motto ‘Ardet nec consumitur’: it burns, but is not consumed.
