Ingredients

  • 800 grams of chicken thighs
  • 300 millilitres of buttermilk
  • 200 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • oil for deep-frying
  • salt and pepper

Method

  1. Place the chicken thighs with a little salt in the buttermilk in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  2. Mix the flour with the paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Drain the chicken and coat the pieces thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  4. Deep-fry the chicken in batches for 12 to 15 minutes at 170 °C, until the crust is golden brown and the meat is cooked through with clear juices.
  5. Drain on kitchen paper and serve warm.
